The visions of the chaos in Egypt are enough to remind us of the Egyptian chaos so long ago. The Egyptians are an ancient civilization. They feature prominently in Scripture. God has worked mightily among them and he will continue to do so for his own glory.
Just consider one thing: Torture is illegitimate because a confession is inadmissible as evidence. Scripture informs us that 2 or 3 witnesses are required for a convicting testimony against someone. If a confession is obtained through coercion what need of witnesses? And if there are no witnesses – then God says no guilt proven. Just something to think on.
